Creativity is my Home

Hi, I'm Rachel.

I am a passionate content creator with experience in directing, producing, editing, animating, multimedia advertising, writing, digital art, creative management, and music production.

I am currently double majoring in Film and Television and Advertising at Boston University. I am the Executive General Manager of BUTV. I work on several TV shows, including being Executive Producer and editor for Pop Showdown (game show), Media Manager and Set Director for Bay State (soap opera), Editor and Director of Photography for Co-Ed (comedy). I also was a Visual Communications Intern at American Systems for two years.

In addition, I have served as the Multimedia Director for Humanitarian Havening, a non profit organization.

I was awarded Best Picture and Best Editing Awards at Boston University’s 2022 Redlist Short Film Festival. I served as Art Director for Boston University’s AdClub for four semesters and won Best Creative Work (2022) and Team MVP Awards (2022) in that organization. I have also been the Director of Videography for a local theatre camp (Summer Smash Up!) for three years. I volunteered as a photographer and social media manager for an animal rescue organization and helped dozens of cats find their forever homes through my advertisements. I have won district wide awards for Best Documentary (2018), Best Response to Current Issues (2021), and won the Fairfax County Student Summit Award for Broadcast Journalism (2021). My short film "Crafted By Hand" was selected for screening at Boston University 's College of Communication.

I previously directed and edited my school news broadcasts, was the Vice President and co-founder of the Journalism Honor Society, and was the Virtual Show Technician and Head of Broadcasting for the theatre department at my high school.

I have been editing videos for over seven years and am in the process of getting Adobe Certified.

I find solace in creating videos and I am excited to use my skills to make a positive impact.
